Summer is still hot and rainy and we are still booked like crazy at The Magic Glamp and the Mellow Submarine is booking up, too. The Goldenrod is blooming and this reminds me that it is time for the days to shorten and the pears to be harvested. We have had a whirlwind of activity this summer. It rained more than 80% of the time, yet our campers still managed to have great times and made awesome memories at our camps.
It was a tough summer for tents, with all the wind and rain. We bought four and have two left. We’ll talk tents in another blog post.
Our lanterns we bought last year have been fantastic, though. The speaker/flashlight combo is fun, and the Power Bank lanterns are very helpful. The lantern from Discovery kids projects stars on the tent ceiling. Here’s a list of what we bought (with affiliate links) that we love:
The above fan light has proven a nice addition. It also helps keep away the mosquitos. It also provides some nice ambient white noise for people who find camping “too quiet to sleep.”

We also have goldenrod flowering but to me it seems early in the year for this. It seems like it should blossom more toward the end of September. I’m a bit concerned about the bees because it has always been the last wild flower to bloom for them.

Yes, I couldn’t believe they were blooming already!
